Pedro's Cat, named for the artist who sculptured this kitty, is a RETIRED piece. This cat measures 3 1/4" long (from tip of tail to tip of left ear), 1 3/16" tall (to the tip of the out stretched left paw), 1 3/4" wide (at the widest points).
This is a kiln fired high gloss glazed finish. This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.
Hagen-Renaker, fine Potteries since 1946, still family owned AND; HANDCRAFTED IN AMERICA!
The coloration is very soft with this little miniature having an "air-brushed" finish in a light grey, which almost looks silver.
Highlights of white on the chest, paws, and face, look very natural.
The eyes are detailed in baby blue, with black pupils.
The nose and mouth are detailed with black. VERY pale pink highlights the four 'pads' on the bottom of the paws.
This mould has nice detailing that shows the texture of the cats coat. You'll want to get out your grooming brush, and give the critter a welcomed brushing on his tummy!
COLLECTOR'S...picture IS the actual piece you will receive AND we only have one of this finely finish piece!
