All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.
Hagen-Renaker, fine Potteries since 1946, still family owned AND; HANDCRAFTED IN AMERICA!
This German sheppard is the traditional colors and markings (black and tan). Black shading on the 'saddle'(back), adds to the detailing of the coat. The face is also softly shaded with black to add character to this "sweetie". An open mouth is highlighted with a deep pink tongue. The expression of the detailed eyes in black and black nose say "Let's play!!" The inside of the ears, under belly and front legs are the tan color.
