Black Standing Bull measures 1 7/8" tall, by 2 5/8" long. It is 1 1/4" at the widest point.
This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.

All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.

This "Black Standing Bull" is a dark charcoal under color, with black used as shading on the miniature, to bring out the muscle structure of the animal.
The eyes, mouth and nose are detailed with black.
The eye detailing EVEN shows "the whites"...
The sculpturing of this mould with the horns pronounced, complete with sharp points! AND the tail that is 'looped', showcase the incredible attention to "details" that Hagen-Renaker figurines provide; thus making this guy a keeper for the miniature collector.
