Hagen-Renaker's "Papa Pig" measures 2 1/4" tall, 3" long (from the tip of the "corkscrew" tail to the edge of his left ear), and 1 3/8" wide (from side to side).
His pleasant smile is accented with a pale pink snout, pink on the inside of the ears, and eyes that will melt your heart. Baby blue eyes with black pupils give this "Papa" lots of character! The 'airbrushed' technique for decorating his body with black spots gives a softness to his shape. His hooves are lightly airbrushed with the black to give him a grounded, stable effect.
This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.
Hagen-Renaker, fine Potteries since 1946, still family owned AND; HANDCRAFTED IN AMERICA!
