An 'Anvil', a tool used by blacksmiths will make that perfect accessory to add to your collection of horses, (or farm animals) .
Through the years Hagen-Renaker has made various accessories to enhance the collections for the dogs, cats, wildlife, etc. The accessory items ALWAYS prove "to be a hard to find" item after they are retired!
The Anvil measures 1 1/2" at widest points (tip of anvil to its' back edge);
1 1/16" wide on the base, and 13/16" tall. The silver color of the anvil and the mallet is an over glaze, (fired on platinum). The anvil and mallet sit a top a (simulated) cross section of wood, shaded brown. The handle of the mallet is defined with a darker brown to have it show up against the platinum anvil and cross section of the wood base.
This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.
Hagen-Renaker, fine Potteries since 1946, still family owned AND; HANDCRAFTED IN AMERICA!
