"Papa Frog" (shown on left, with "Baby Frog" [not included] when ordering this single item).
"Papa Frog" is currently being produced by the Hagen-Renaker Ceramic Artists in San Dimas California!
"Papa Frog" measures 3/4" tall, 1 5/16" wide (side to side), and 1 1/8" long (front to back, nose to backside).
The eyes are simple black dots. They show through the semi-translucent green glaze.
This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired" finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.
