Made in America! 3/8'' dia. glass Bead handcrafted in Milk Glass with Violets in the Snow design. Sterling Silver core (1/8" dia.) is embossed with Fenton USA. Truda Mendenhall design, Violets in the Snow, was inspired by Louise Piper. Louise Piper (1909-1996) helped begin the decorating department at Fenton Art Glass in 1968, and is now a beloved decorator.
The handcrafted Fenton beads collection includes many of Fenton's unique glass colors and historic treatments. Fenton is the only beadmaker creating handpainted beads using high-fired enamel paints, giving Fenton's handpainted beads unmatched design flexibility and strong durability. Fenton beads have a solid sterling silver core embossed with the Fenton USA logo. Each Fenton bead has its own individual character beacuse of the handmade process. Fenton "made in America" beads are designed by lampwork artist Jena Lane Blair, and the distinctive handpainted decorations are created by Fenton decorator Truda Mendenhall.
