'Union Mouse', on card, from 1989...!!!
This is a "collector's dream...full, complete documentation (factory card attached) for dating and manufacturer.
Notice the 1989 price for this tiny creation on the card!! Amazing that such fine details and quality could be sold for that kind of price!!!
When we order directly from Hagen Renaker, we request "NOT to card".
However, now that we are getting some vintage, and retired, items from other dealers we sometimes buy stock that has been "carded".
This is the case with this "Union Mouse". It is particularly FANTASTIC FOR COLLECTORS!
See the date on the card. At one time Hagen Renaker actually DATED these "display cards".
This piece is from 1989 (twenty-two years ago)!
The card is in beautiful condition, as is the figurine.
The card size measures 2" square.
Hagen-Renaker's 'Union Mouse is a
HIGHLY DETAILED piece.
From the 22k, fired gold, that defines the buckles on the union cap, to the tiny gold buttons on the jacket, to the black belt encircling the waist, this fellow is dressed like a proud "Yankee" soldier!
Measuring only 1 3/8" tall, 1 1/8" front to back (tip of nose to backside, tail area), 1" wide (at widest points), left 'hand' to edge of right ear.
This piece is a high gloss fired glaze finish on a Ceramic clay base that was fired to approximately 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.
All of the Hagen Renaker miniatures listed on our website are "Fired " finishes; thus making them pieces of "China". Most of the pieces undergo at least two (2), with some having three (3) firings in a Ceramic kiln. Temperatures will vary from 2500 degrees to 1650 degrees, dependent as to a greenware (raw clay) firing, a glaze firing, or an overglaze (lustre, gold, or platinum) firing.
Hagen-Renaker, fine Potteries since 1946, still family owned AND; HANDCRAFTED IN AMERICA!
The mouse is a light grey color, with simple dot detailing for the eyes, in black. The nose, and inside of ears is a soft tint of pink for definition.
See his
CUTE LITTLE 'BUCK' WHITE TOOTH! I didn't realize they had the 'whitening ' paste back then...just kidding!
SUPER SUPER CUTE!COLLECTOR'S...picture IS the actual piece you will receive AND currently, we only have one (1) of this rare fine available!
